Register a company in a Free Zone of Abu Dhabi

To start, you’ll need to get initial approval for your company by submitting the following materials to the relevant authorities
  1. A filled-out application form
  2. A business plan
  3. A trade license or registration certificate (if applicable)
  4. Passport copies of shareholders and the appointed manager
  5. Audited financial reports; or a bank reference certificate.
After deciding on a free zone and the type of license
  1. Register your business and pay the associated costs.
  2. Send in the completed registration application with supporting documents (such as a board resolution, power of attorney, memorandum of incorporation, and manager signature specimen) that have been notarized and attested.
  3. Manager’s white-background passport photo should be included.
  4. Get the license by signing the lease and applying for a business license, both of which are often issued on the spot. Employee visa applications, if necessary, can also be started at this time.

In Abu Dhabi free zones, setting up shop might take anywhere from a few days to a week. Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), Masdar City, Abu Dhabi Media Free Zone (Media Zone Authority), and Abu Dhabi Business City are just a few of the well-known free zones in Abu Dhabi.
