Etihad Airways provided discounted rates to ICV-approved companies.
jacob george2024-02-12T11:53:33+00:00From 1st July until 1st October 2023, companies certified under the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s (MoIAT) National In-Country Value (ICV) programme can receive special rates on cargo and miles on Etihad Airways flights.
The initiative is part of a partnership announced at this year’s “Make it in the Emirates Forum” in May between MoIAT and the airline.
ICV-certified businesses will have access to Etihad Airways’ extensive network of services to destinations in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and Africa. This access will allow ICV-certified businesses to investigate new global markets for their products via passenger and cargo aircraft.
In addition, ICV-certified companies will have the opportunity to earn miles for on-board flights for a period of two months, beginning August 1 and ending September 30.
MoIAT intends to expand the scope of the National ICV programme to include new sectors, in accordance with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, which aims to enhance the reputation of UAE products on global markets, increase their competitiveness, and foster an investment-friendly business climate that strengthens local supply chains.
Currently, 28 federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as corporations, are participating in the program.
Since joining the National ICV program in 2021, Etihad Airways has prioritized local suppliers and businesses. The introduction of the new rates complements the airline’s agreement with the ministry to empower national businesses further.
